Solid background in medicine and science, with a broad interest also in the arts (e.g. history). Also great experience as a freelance writer/journalist.
Translating since 1995, in a wide variety of fields, like medicine and pharmaceutics, biochemistry, patents, popular science, consumerelectronics, history, food and cooking, marketing and market research, etc. However, I do know my limitations and do NOT undertake any legal or finance translations.
Working in team with my wife Karin Nettelblad (with 24 years experience), one of us translating, the other one editing/proofreading the text. We - and our clients - have found that this renders a superior result, with translations that read like originals, without any non-idiomatic phrasings or ambiguities.
Education
I hold a medical degree as well as a B.Sc. in chemistry, biochemistry and molecular genetics. Ph.D. studies in Medical chemistry. (Click here for a sample of my scientific work.)Experience

Author of five successful science textbooks for Swedish secondary school, published by Bonnier and Liber Utbildning (Swedish branch of Wolters Kluwer).
Since 1988 writing popular science material for Swedish National Radio and various newspapers and magazines. For 13 years also writing a daily column about various historical jubilees and anniversaries. For six years working halftime for Uppsala University, writing popular press releases about research news from the University (in all fields from theology and linguistics to medicine and theoretical physics). Currently commissioned to write articles for the Youth Edition of the Swedish National Encyclopaedia (Nationalencyklopedin).
